Note the purple face is actually accurate because the fabric mommy patched him with a few reconstructive surgeries ago is dark purple rather than brown fur like the rest of him :)
25 miles away there was a big meteor that destroyed the planet so puppy had to move to us. His old friends had to move to a new planet that was 81 miles away from Earth. A rocketship couldn't even go that far.
Puppy loved his new home because he found me.

after the rocketship sentence, I prompted Riley "how do you want to end your story?" to which he promptly replied "cliffhanger!" He wasn't getting off that easy though, so I explained that he was going to have to finish the story in the "next episode", and explain how the planet or puppy or puppy's friends turned out. :)
